Amr Mohsen, PhD, Co-founder and CEO

Dr. Amr Mohsen is a senior level executive with over 40 years’ experience in the semiconductor and Hi-Tech industries. He is a seasoned entrepreneur, having founded and built various start-up companies.  Amr is a Life Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) with significant contributions in the fields of integrated circuits and semiconductor device and process technologies. He has authored 45 US and international patents, over 70 peer reviewed technical articles and a chapter on Integrated Circuits Design in the Handbook of Microelectronics.    He served as Adjunct Professor at California Institute of technology (Caltech) teaching graduate courses in Electrical Engineering.  He received the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, California.

He strongly feels that HopeAI is his most ambitious and rewarding project to date because of its social impact. Having experienced incarceration, he believes that rehabilitation improvements with advanced technologies are needed to educate inmates and prepare them for successful reentry into society.

Hamdi El-Sissi, Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer


Dr. Hamdi El-Sissi has extensive Technology, Business Management and Strategic Planning experience gained over 50 years. He has worked in Semiconductor design and manufacture, Communications Technology, Signal Processing and CAD in senior and CEO roles.

Since co-founding HopeAi, Dr El-Sissi has been involved in all aspects of planning and execution of this worthwhile project.

Dr. El-Sissi has a doctorate degree from the University of Toronto and other degrees from Cairo University and the University of London.

Hicham Jorio, Partners and Channels

Hicham is a seasoned executive with a track record of success in impact projects. He was instrumental in setting up a Joint Venture to manufacture cervical cancer tests in Ethiopia (East Africa) as well as advising an engineering university in Morocco (North Africa). As an Executive on Spire Advisory Group's team and a board member with Journify, Ustream, Medx, Excitem, and Biotessia, Hicham has more than 25 years of experience with some of the world's leading technology companies, including IBM, Google, Meta, and Cisco. Throughout his career, he has been successful in running businesses that help customers leverage digital technologies to drive efficiencies and enter new markets. Before joining Spire Advisory Group, he was the Director of business development for Excitem, where his team managed some of Excitem’s largest Clients on a Global basis. he also worked at IDT and Ustream where he launched a new customer "acquisition" of Salesforce and WW's go-to-market strategy that helped Cisco and Ustream create a new business that grew from $0 to $50 M run rate in just 3 yrs.

Mohamed Mohamed, advisor, IT Security, and Digital Infrastructure


Dr. Mohamed is passionate about the impact of technology in education and its consequent impact on underserved communities worldwide. He has among other things, co-founded the Horizon School of Digital Technologies that specializes in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence technologies in Tunisia, and is involved in various virtual education initiatives in Africa and in the Middle East.  He currently is a Staff Site Reliability Engineer with Apple in the SF Bay Area. Mohamed has more than 10 years of experience in the computer science and cloud computing industries. He published more than 20 scientific research papers in top journals and conferences in his field. He has submitted more than 20 patents to the US patents office and has an extensive record of teaching Cloud technologies and he is an AWS Academy accredited teacher. 

Wael Abdeljabbar, Head of Content and Education

Wael Abdeljabbar is the head of programs at HopeAI. He has extensive experience in computer sciences, Networking, and management information system courses. He holds an Ed.D. Educational Leadership from Fielding Graduate University, a Master in Sciences in Management Information Systems (MIS), and 2 bachelor of sciences degrees in Computer Sciences with an emphasis in Management Information Systems, ACEI, and Information Technology UOP.

Wael is passionate about classroom and online teaching. He is on a mission to help inmates not only acquire content and complete certificates but also develop life skills in their future endeavors when released from prison.

Since 2005, he has been a faculty and Dep. chair for the Computer Science & Information Technology Department (CSIT) at Mission College. He holds many Industry certificates such as CNA, N+, CCAI, MCP and Cisco Cybersecurity Operations.

Hatim Chraibi, Marketing and Communication

H atim Chraibi is currently a founder/managing partner at SPIRE Advisory Group, a Palo Alto-based Advisory Group that aims to boost innovative impact life sciences companies and strategically position them in high-impact settings such as as the African continent. Prior to joining SPIRE Advisory, Hatim has worked extensively in expanding medical device brands globally. Hatim has worked with large medical device companies such as Philips Medical Systems and Covidien as well as small organizations in the Cardiology, Oncology, and Aesthetics space. He has worked with key opinion leaders worldwide, managed distribution teams, and collaborated in customizing product development efforts and strategizing regulatory strategy.

Hatim holds a bachelor in Finance from the University of San Francisco, an MBA in Global Marketing from McGill University, and a Graduate Exchange program at Luigi Bocconi in Milan, Italy. He is also fluent in 5 languages and is passionate about International Impact Marketing.
